Registration & Enrollment

Register In Three Steps

Step 1 - Find Your Student's School

Visit our Bus Stops & School Boundaries page to locate the school your student will attend. For kindergarten students please refer to the kindergarten section for important information.

IMPORTANT: If you wish for your child to attend a school other than that associated with your home address, you MUST first complete the Out of Boundary request form and await approval.

Step 2 - Gather Documents

Please be prepared to upload documents that will be necessary for your student’s enrollment. This will include your student’s Birth Certificate, Immunizations, Proof of Residency, Transcript (7-12 grade), Withdrawal Form, and any court documents for guardianship.

Step 3 - Complete Online Registration

The school Secretary or Registrar will contact you to complete the enrollment process. Schools may require additional information.

A few things to know about enrolling a child in Alpine District

Your child’s legal name (the name that appears on the birth certificate) will be used on all official school records.
Entering Kindergarten?
- Utah law requires a child be five years old on or before September 1.
- Registration options.
- If you have a Kindergarten student who will be riding the School Bus, you will need to create a backpack tag with the Kindergarten Backpack Tag Generator. Not all elementary schools provide busing.

Students are placed by grade according to age. ASD may accelerate/retain with adequate documentation. Please contact your child’s school.
Students moving to Alpine School District from another school will need a withdrawal form from their previous school of attendance and copies of any academic records which could assist in placing the student in appropriate classes. The new school will then request school records from the previous school once the student has officially enrolled.
The Statewide Online Education Program (SOEP) allows students 7th-12th to earn graduation credit.

Kindergarten Transportation: We ask that you complete this online form to designate how your student will get to and from school and to get a bus tag.

Out of School Boundary Enrollment

Visit our Out of Boundary form. This form must be completed and approved before beginning the online enrollment process.
Dual Language Immersion and Advanced Learning Labs (A.L.L.) students should also complete the Out of Boundary form; as long as they are accepted into the program, they may attend the program school.

Out of District Boundary Enrollment

Utah Code 53G-6-402 & District Policy 5117

Students who live outside the Alpine School District or outside specific school boundaries may apply for enrollment by submitting an Out-of-Boundary Request Form online. Parents are encouraged to review the Out-of-Boundary School Options Policy and follow the outlined process before completing the form.

Deadlines

Early enrollment, November 15th through the first Friday in February; Submission of Out-of-Boundary Request Form to Alpine School District for the following year.
By March 15th District shall notify parents whose students will not be permitted to continue their enrollment.
By March 31st or within six weeks after receipt of the form by the District, whichever is later, the District shall notify through email of acceptance or rejection of request.
Late enrollment (any request not made within the early timeline above ) applications will be notified by the Friday before school begins.

Applying for Free and Reduced Lunch

NOTE: Only one application is needed per household.
The advantage to applying online is that your application is processed within 12 hours. You will receive a letter within 3 to 5 days to let you know if you have been approved. We do not send out emails to notify you.
